Wages are determined by various factors:
- Qualification for a job. Having better Spanish speaking than a competitor will give you more money.
- Abilities. The more ability you have at something, the more you will get paid.
- Unwanted jobs. If you work at unsociable hours your candidate to claim more money.
- Knowing the market. If you are worth 10000 per month and you don't know it, the odds tell that they will trick you and save money!
- Mobility of labour. If you can switch between places, you will end up with higher wages.
- Fringe benefits. Some firms gift you things for your precious time and effort.
- Non-profit or Inspiration. Some jobs are special like Nursing, people have to be willing to do it despite the money.
- Discrimination. Sadly, in many places being from a certain race/sex gives you advantage. Nevertheless, this is now starting to get outlawed in many countries
